Sombra was once a King beloved and strong
His heart was full of goodness at the Empire's dawn
But obsession would possess him and it wouldn't be long
Before he'd lock away his subjects and he'd make them his pawns

DAWN AND DARKNESS
Sombra sought justify his glorious reign
He dwelled on stronger spells for there was power to gain
Temptation gave him thoughts of coursing power in his veins
and his subjects could be free from sadness worry or strain
But he failed to see the king he was would cease to remain
his mind would be confined to inescapable chains
the magic would wreak havoc causing terrible pain
his rage would make his golden age an infamous stain
Soon he realized the danger in the power he sought
He attempted to reverse it and against it he fought
But the magic over powered him and he was distraught
For everything he'd worked for soon would all be for not

SOMBRA:
When I was a young I was naive for I believed that humility
Was the key for me to see the nation maintain stability
I realize the lies that lie in peace and tranquility
The solution retribution forced by sovereign ability
I suspect that my subjects might reject my command
For their submission is my mission and my vision is grand
The love and unity they throw at me is all I can stand
Their blissful lives, so contrived, will be revised by my plan

BANISHMENT
Darkness formed around him as the spell left him horn
A divide that writhed inside him left him consciousness torn
His heart once full of goodness now was riddled with scorn
The agony so bad he'd wished He'd never been born
Once the conflict had subsided he was stoic and proud
His swelling magic shrouded him in sickening clouds
He reveled in relentless power he was endowed
He vowed to scourge his subjects till the final had bowed
He enslaved the population, his victory in sight
The kingdom of Equestria prepared for a fight
The kingdom vanished, banished by the king in the night
A sudden haunting silence fell with no sign of life

SOMBRA:
If I remain Celestia will be my demise
She will plead and try to turn me with her chivalrous lies
When diplomatic action fails she'll sever her ties
And the army of Equestria will rain from the skies
Instead I have prepared for her a greater surprise
In 1,000 years my strength will peak and I will arise
The day she comes to stop me I will look in her eyes
And tell her that today's the day Equestria dies

Now the empire has arisen from its thousand year sleep
Beyond the walls, in the halls a secret lies in its keep
To discover, recover it will test your physique
The traps will make you lapse and keep it just out of reach
It was hidden, forbidden by the ruler of old
The secret he rejected isn't silver nor gold
Instead a relic you can tell is filled with powers untold
The hero to retrieve it must be selfless and bold
For the crystal heart of Sombra is the key to restore
But it's hidden by the king behind a magical door
Be wary of the passage if enticed to explore
Is inside what you desire or a trial to endure

My heart had turned to crystal, made me doubt my decree
I used dark magic to eradicate it setting me free
The deliverance from my hindrance made me able to see
That any foal against my goal would have to answer to me

At the floor there's a door you'll unlock with a spark
